Guernsey Gris Rug 200 x 300 cm
Guernsey Gris Rug is a two-tone design in a warm pale grey and cream. The broken lines and asymmetric pattern create a quiet take on modern geometric design.
This rug is handmade using a tufting technique in 100% New Zealand wool. This creates a sumptuous cut pile that is luxuriously soft underfoot. This modern rug will bring comfort and contemporary design into your home.
The natural properties of wool make it a wonderful fibre for indoor rugs. This is because wool is highly durable, naturally stain-resistant, anti-static and hypoallergenic. Importantly, wool is also inherently fire resistant, which is an extremely welcome characteristic for home decor.
New Zealand wool is also a good ethical and sustainable choice for rugs – it is sustainably farmed with good animal welfare regulations making wool a renewable resource.
Claire Gaudion rugs are made in collaboration with Momo Rugs. Each rug is designed by Claire and then crafted by skilled artisan makers. All Claire Gaudion by Momo Rugs are proudly endorsed by Care & Fair. This means that our makers enjoy good living conditions and fair wages and furthermore, that no child labour is used. We also choose to use Azo-free non-toxic dyes for our products.
This rug is stocked in two sizes 170 x 240 cm and 200 x 300 cm.
We recommend using a rug underlay for all our indoor rugs.
Claire Gaudion creates nature inspired rugs, cushions and throw blankets, drawing on nature’s colours, patterns and textures. Bringing nature's colours, and textures and patterns that mimic nature indoors is shown to increase our connection with the natural world and in turn, support our wellbeing and happiness. This is at the heart of what we do. We believe in human-centred design, authentic craftsmanship and sustainability. We work with specialist weaving mills, and skilled artisan weavers and rug makers who are 'Care & Fair' endorsed manufacturers, so customers can be confident that they are buying responsibly made rugs.
